Taunton FD, due to budget cuts, had Engine 1 and the Snorkel
out of service this particular night. These pieces of apparatus would be
first due Co's at this fire location. Despite this, Taunton Fire did an
amazing job of holding the fire to the building of origin. Exposures were
the electric company (TMLP), a synagog, and a gas station, as well as
3 deckers in the area. The fire building was Barron Brothers Furniture,
a 4-5 story furniture store and warehouse.
